MARCH 2010 - Advanced Color Graphics receives one of just 55 Silver awards from over 3000 entries presented by Sappi. In the category of Calendars, the entry designed by and for Snavely Associates, Ltd. titled “Connect. Inspire. Engage. 2010” took the Silver Award representing the Mid-Atlantic Region. Regional Silver Award winners will compete in May for Gold Sappi North America Printers of the Year honors. Gold winners will compete internationally later in 2010 in South Africa with other Gold Winners from all over the world.
In 2007 Advanced Color Graphics was presented with an unprecedented second Sappi of the Year award. Advanced Color Graphics is one of the few printers in the world that can claim back to back printer of the year awards. This alone states how committed the staff at Advanced Color Graphics is in producing your jobs at the highest quality possible.
2006 Dennis Devlin of Advanced Color Graphics attended the prestigious award ceremony in Seattle, Washington, at historic landmark, Union Station. The 2006 competition marked the 10th annual celebration of Sappi's North American Printers of the Year awards. The winning entry was the French Leave brochure printed on Sappi Strobe Gloss paper. The brochure, full of gorgeous island images, featured a flysheet printed with pastel ink, strike-through varnish with aqueous coating, and UV coating on the cover.
The Sappi Printers of the Year awards competition recognizes print excellence and innovation for work produced on Sappi papers. More than 3,000 entries were submitted and Advanced Color Graphics won a Silver Award in 2006 for the Mid-Atlantic Region in the brochures category, a Bronze Award in 2007 for the Mid-Atlantic Region in the calendar category, and a Silver Award in 2010 for the Mid-Atlantic Region in the calendar category.
All entries were judged on overall impact of the piece; degree of difficulty in printing techniques; and technical excellence. A panel of four judges, selected from recognized print institutions and trade professions, ensured the highest possible standards and integrity.
